This page describes what happens to information you give us through complimentsos.com. It is written to be accurate rather than comprehensive — if something is not listed here, we are not doing it.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form on this site. When you request early access or submit one of our solution pages, we collect your name, work email address, restaurant or group name, your role, the number of locations you operate, and — if you choose to tell us — the reservation platform, point-of-sale system, and review platforms you use, plus whatever you write in the free-text fields.

We do not run advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or third-party marketing cookies on this site. The only cookie we set is a session cookie, and only after you sign in to the application.

Why we collect it

To reply to you, and to understand whether Compliments OS is a sensible fit for your operation before we take up your time. That is the whole purpose. We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties for their own marketing.

Where it goes

Submissions are stored in our application database, hosted on infrastructure in the United States. A notification containing your submission is also sent to an internal Slack channel so a person sees it. Email we send you is delivered through SendGrid.

Those are the only three places your submission travels: our database, our internal Slack, and — if we email you — our email provider.

The demo workspace

The demo environment contains entirely fictional data for a restaurant group that does not exist. No real guest information from any restaurant appears in it. If you are given demo access, please do not upload real guest data to it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records while there is a live conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards. If you ask us to delete your information, we delete it — see below.

Your choices

Every marketing email we send carries a working unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately and is specific to you. You can also ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. Email alex@rubixagency.com and a person will handle it.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. We will honour those requests regardless of where you are.

Guest data belonging to our customers

When a restaurant group uses Compliments OS, the guest information in their workspace belongs to them, not to us. We process it on their instructions. If you are a diner and want to know what a specific restaurant holds about you, contact that restaurant — they control the record, and we will support them in answering you.

Changes

If our practices change, this page changes first. The date at the top reflects the last substantive edit.
