Comparison

Unifying the data is the easy half.

Restaurant customer-data platforms — Bikky among them — solve a real problem, and they solve it in much the same shape we do: read the existing systems, resolve one guest per person, report on it. We differ on what happens next.

When a dedicated CDP is the better answer

If you have an analyst or a marketing team who will live in the data, a mature CDP with deep reporting will reward that investment. These are serious products built by people who understand restaurants, and we would not pretend otherwise.

If your requirement is primarily reporting and dashboards for a leadership team, evaluate them properly. That is squarely what they are for.

The difference

Where we are different

The interface is a sentence

Most segmentation tools are filter builders, which means someone has to learn them. Ours takes “guests who visited at least four times, spent over $500, and have not returned in 90 days” and returns the list — with the reason each guest qualified shown next to their name, so you can check our work.

Built for groups without an analyst

A dashboard is only valuable if someone opens it. Most 3-to-50 location groups have no one whose job that is, which is why so much of this category goes unused after month three.

You can buy the outcome, not the tool

Compliments Studio runs the platform for you — audiences, campaigns, review responses, and a monthly read on what actually happened. Software companies rarely offer that, because services are hard to staff. We came from an agency, so we can.

Honest about what is connected

Every integration in the product reports exactly what it can do today, including the ones still waiting on partner approval. Nothing is labelled connected because it might be later.

Due diligence

Ask every vendor these

Including us. If an answer is vague, that is the answer.

  • Who on my team is going to operate this in month six?
  • Can I see why a specific guest is in a specific segment?
  • Which integrations are live for me today, and which are roadmap?
  • Can you run the campaigns, or only supply the tool?

The data layer is table stakes. The question is whether anything gets done with it.

Bring an export from the system you already run. We will show you what is in it.
